Ever wake up and just know it’s a smoothie day? That’s what my Saturday morning was like. Yes, I’m that annoying neighbor that runs the Magic Bullet at 8am on a Saturday morning…I know, I know, it’s not cool, but I wanted a Saturday morning smoothie! I can’t help it if I’m unable to sleep in anymore, but that shouldn’t mean I can’t have a smoothie…right? I kind of knew what I wanted but wasn’t totally sure. Like many other recipes this one was formed out of necessity and limited to what I had on hand. Luckily it turned out pretty tasty. I wanted something creamy, banana-ie and of course peanut butter-ie, I’m an American after all. A few ingredients in the bullet and voila! Banana breakfast smoothie! Don’t worry it’s not only for breakfast feel free to take liberties with the name. Banana snacktime smoothie. Banana elevensies smoothie. Banana pre/post workout smoothie. You take your pick.
Banana Breakfast Smoothie
WW PlusPoints: 8 (although if you put in the ingredients individually it’s only 5…kinds feels like you are getting robbed)
- 1 cup So Delicious Coconut Milk
- 2 tsp peanut butter
- 1 container Chobani Simply 100 Vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1 medium banana
- 1 tsp ground flax seed
- Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
Doesn’t get much easier than a one step set of directions. If you want to really splash out use frozen banana to get more of a milk shake texture. Either way get ready for pure yummy-ness!
