First of all thanks for all the lovely feedback from my #transformationtuesday post! You are all so fantastic and supportive! I’ll admit I was pretty nervous to put those pictures up since they are kind of embarrassing, but luckily I have lots of cheerleaders, so thank you very much for that! Now on to the post!
A couple weeks ago I ordered some EBOOST because Jillian Michaels gave out a 50% coupon code on her podcast. I figured it was a pretty good time to give it a try, less of a financial commitment in case I discovered it tasted terrible or turned me into a crazy person. I got a trial pack that includes all the flavors; acai pomegranate, pink lemonade, orange, superberry and berry-melon. I haven’t tried them all yet but so far I’m a fan of the orange and pink lemonade. The good thing about this stuff is it’s low calorie, not filled with artificial sweeteners or worse…weird fake sweeteners, it has lots of vitamins to boost your mood and immunity, caffeine to get you going and coconut water to give you some hydration.
Now for a little story and a word of warning. I enjoy a coffee after work from time to time, it gives me that extra kick of energy to get my sweat on. So I figured it would be ok to have a shot of EBOOST around the same time. I mean they have a somewhat comparable amount of caffeine, there’s about 175mg in my coffee of choice and 150mg in a shot of EBOOST. Well I went to sleep that first night and did actually fall asleep, but then I woke up at 3am, 4am, 5am and 6am. Needlesss to say this was annoying and since nothing much else had changed in my routine I figure EBOOST is the culperite. To tell you the truth I’m not completely sure why I sleep fine after a coffee but not so great after an EBOOST shot, maybe it’s the green coffee in the EBOOST or the lack of warm milky yumminess that I usually get from the coffee….who knows. Either way I have not made that mistake again!
Since that first episode I have taken to consuming EBOOST in the morning and to tell you the truth it’s been great. I’m not sure if it’s the “mood boosters” in it or my new sense of positivity with the new year but I feel pretty damn good after I take it. Long story short, if you are going to give it a try use it in the AM not the PM!
