So I know I’ve been pretty much off the radar this week….and I’d like to say I had a good excuse, but I can’t really think of one. I did however manage to make it to my WW meeting on Thursday and was shocked/very disappointed to find that last week I lost NO weight. As in a huge fat goose egg…zip, zero, nada! I know this is only week 3 of WW for me, but I was kinda hoping my grand total of weight lost would be a little more than 4.8lbs. Then again when I think about it that’s a little over 1.5 lbs per week, right?! Not too shabby when you put it that way.
The trouble I’m facing right now is the pendulem swings in loss I’m having, and the emotional/food related reactions that induces in me. I mean week one lost .4lbs, week two lost 4.4, week three nothing. It seems like I have an off week followed by an on week. I’m not really sure what the differences are week to week because I can honestly say I’m eating within my point limits, hardly touching the extra 49 and logging around 35 activity points per week. It is a mystery to me. I just have to keep telling myself, at least the number is going down. It might not be going down every week, but it’s better to stay the same than to go up.
In the meantime I have decided to keep doing what I’m doing. AND to kinda give up on the Bob Harper DVDs I bought for the time being. Don’t get me wrong, I like him as a person and it’s good to be trying something different from Jillian Michaels, but I’ve been trying out his various workouts for the last 2 weeks and I never come away from them with the same enthuiasm, motivation or just plain calorie burn as the JM workouts. He seems to do a lot of reps of each move (and when your knees are not so good this is a problem). Luckily my sister offered to send me her copy of P90X (which scares the CRAP out of me!) and TurboFire in exchange for my copy of Body Revolution! Pretty fair trade! So until those arrive I’m gonna do Ripped in 30 and maybe a Bob workout here and there. Anybody else out there tried Bob’s workouts? What did you think? How about P90X or TurboFire? How scared should I be?
