Well, if you ask me I think the title says it all, but I guess I should elaborate a bit for effect. Friday was my last workout for Jillian Michaels Body Revolution! I can’t believe I made it through 3 months of getting up at 6am to do my workout before work, but I did! Overall I have to give this program two enthusiastic thumbs up! I loved having 3 different workouts per week and that every 2 weeks you got a new set of strength training workouts. For me that was just long enough to get “comfortable” with the workouts (and by comfortable I mean that I wasn’t completely dying….just half-way dying). There were several moves I was not able to master along the way, but I took the attitude that I should just keep moving and hope that I could do a few reps of that exercise the next time around. Eventually I was able to do all the exercises except the evil wheel push up (as seen below).
Anyway, I couldn’t even get into wheel pose, so that is something I’m going to have to work up to for my next round of Body Revolution. I’m not going to head straight into a second round, I thought I would try some other workout DVDs for a month or two then go back to BR. Right now I’m choosing between Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 and a 4 workout set by Bob Harper. I’ve never done a Bob Harper workout so maybe I’ll give that a try first. Anyone tried his workout DVDs? Opinions are very welcome.
Now, on to the results from the 3 months! I ended up losing 20lbs and a total of 13.5 inches! That’s a little more than 1.5lbs per week, not Biggest Loser numbers, but pretty good for me! As a reward for finishing the program I went on a 2 hour kayak tour this weekend! More to come about that little adventure!
All in all I really loved the program and am very happy with the results I was able to achieve. Anybody else out there use Body Revolution? What did you think of it?
