Hey guys! So I know it’s a week early, but I wanted to post a progress report since I flaked out and didn’t post a real report before starting Phase 2 of BR. I am VERY happy to say that the progress since starting phase 2 has been much better…or should I say the numbers are more to my liking. You might recall my lack of enthusiasm after completing Phase 1 in this post. So lets get down to the numbers!
Not too shabby right?! I’m feeling pretty awesome about my progress! Plus it doesn’t hurt that I bought some tops from Gap the other day! I know that doesn’t sound all that exciting BUT I know you girls and guys out there who have to go to special stores to clothes shop know EXACTLY what I’m talking about!
So a quick review of the Phase 2 workouts. Just like she says the workouts ramp up with every new set of discs….and that Jillian is no liar! Just in case I didn’t explain it earlier each phase has 5 discs: 4 weight based training and 1 cardio. You spend two weeks on the first 2 discs (plus cardio 2xs a week) and then after two weeks you move on to the second set of 2 (plus cardio). The cool thing is that when I’ve started each new set of two discs I’ve felt like I’M GOING TO DIE! But with each workout it gets easier. So the first time she had us do “statue of liberties” I was falling all over the place and was basically a mess, but by the end of week 2 of those workouts I was able to stabilize and keep up with her pace! For me it’s been like this every time (for the most part). One thing this program has taught me so far is that I have NO idea what I’m capable of! I feel stronger than I have in a long time and I can’t wait to see what Phase 3 brings! One more week and I’ll let you know how it goes! As usual am very afraid of what she has in store.
